Welcome to the Harrogate Dramatic Society

Our next production. Wednesday 2nd April – Saturday 5th April

Lettice and Lovage

Written by Peter Shaffer & directed by Rachel Conyers

This comedy is a warm, engaging tale of friendship in the unlikeliest of places. Lettice Douffet is a tour guide at Fustian House, possibly the dullest stately home in England. When she attempts to enliven its history with her own over-imaginative fantasies she draws the attention of Lottie Schoen, the starchy Preservation Trust official, with interesting consequences!

You can find useful background information about the Society in A Potted History, and in our play Anthology. The Anthology lists our plays from 1946 to present and contains many photographs, cast lists and reviews. As well as adding information about our recent productions, over the next few months we aim to complete as many of the earlier entries as possible by digitising photographs, reviews and cast lists from our extensive Society archives.
