Mavis signs ip to teach tap dancing at a church, but when she's bombarded with a clumsy group of problem-ridden enrollees, she realizes she's in for more that she bargained for. As Mavis and her students rehearse for the big year-end recital, they confess to their frustrations, bond together and are transformed into a formidable dance troupe.
